1. Acceptance of Terms
Please read these Terms and our Privacy Policy before using the service. The current Android Internal Test registration and sign-in flows do not yet provide a separate terms/privacy checkbox or store an acceptance timestamp; do not create an account or use the relevant features if you disagree. We will complete the appropriate consent flow after legal review before public release and update this page.
2. Service Overview
VegiSearch currently assists users in reviewing catalog assessments and evidence based on barcodes and dietary preferences, including an independently configurable alcohol preference. Alcohol facts are evaluated separately from vegetarian traits such as egg, dairy, and alliums. An “contains alcohol” notice is user-facing information, not a manufacturer's vegetarian-label endorsement or a food-safety guarantee. Ingredient-photo OCR, unknown-product intake, and a candidate queue are planned features and are not enabled in the current Android Internal Testing build; before future enablement, we must complete one retention window, schema/migration, purge, health/readiness, deployment, backup, and notice gates.
3. Important Limitations
- VegiSearch provides decision support and does not constitute medical, nutritional, religious, or legal advice.
- Manufacturers may change recipes, production facilities, or packaging; physical product labels always govern.
- Individuals with severe allergies or intolerances must verify physical packaging directly.
- When data is incomplete, results may show uncertain or unverified status.
4. Accounts & Credentials
Keep your login credentials secure. Never share passwords, tokens, or sessions. Report unauthorized access immediately.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not abuse, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or exploit the service, nor scrape non-public data or violate others' rights.
6. User Submissions
If submissions are enabled in the future, you confirm that you have the right to provide product corrections, ingredient content, photos, or other materials; VegiSearch will then process them under the published purpose, access controls, and retention policy, subject to source-rights and review rules. The current Android Internal Testing build does not enable ingredient-photo/OCR intake and makes no candidate-retention promise.
7. Intellectual Property
VegiSearch trademarks, design, and code are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party brand marks remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Service Modifications
We may modify, suspend, or update features during beta testing as necessary.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VegiSearch is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted availability or error-free content.
10. Termination & Deletion
You may stop using the service and request deletion per our Account Deletion Instructions.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China).
